Meet our Therapists

Currently accepting new therapy and assessment clients with no wait

  • Hi, I’m Tiffany

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University and I completed my post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente in Northern CA. I have been licensed as a psychologist for two years, but prior to licensing I worked with children and adults for about 10 years.

I am passionate about working with children, teens, and their parents. My expertise is in psychological assessment and treatment for defiance or ADHD in children. I also have extensive experience working with children and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, or addiction.

  • Hi there!

My name is Carrie Varkatzas and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California. There are times when life becomes difficult and we may need some extra support to get to us through those challenging moments. I applaud you for initiating the first steps in seeking the help you feel you need at this time. You have already accomplished a very important step in this process!

Therapy is rewarding, but it can also be challenging and difficult. I will be here for you every step of the way. It is important that I understand what you are experiencing, what you want to accomplish by attending therapy and I will do my part to support you in getting you to where you want to be.

I have been working as a therapist for 10 years providing individual and group counseling. I have had the opportunity to work in office settings and in telehealth addressing a variety of issues such as: depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, parenting issues, anger management, stress reduction and life transitions. Iam also experienced in treating commitment issues, communication problems, and young adult issues.

We are committed to collaborative, supportive, and effective therapy.

Our Approach

Tiffany Shader, PhD

My approach to my work is grounded in the value I place in kindness, integrity, and efficiency. As a therapist I try to be warm and supportive, and teach useful skills to help the individual heal and grow. I conduct evidence-based, effective, and goal-oriented cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT). I also conduct psychological assessments that are designed to help families understand their child or adolescent's strengths and challenges. I use empirically supported methods and provide solution-focused, meaningful, and understandable feedback. Through these methods I am able to help children, teens, and their parents learn more about themselves, develop skills to improve their relationships, and complete therapy with the skills they need to succeed. After therapy is completed I encourage clients to continue to use their new skills and to reach out for booster sessions as needed.

Carrie Varkatzas, LMFT

As a therapist, I find that it’s important to tailor my style to what will be the best fit for you. In an effort to get you feeling better in a timely manner, my approach tends to combine cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy. We will work together to find the best way to meet your treatment goals and what you are specifically looking to get out of your experience in therapy.

I understand how difficult it can be to seek help. Take your time and when you are ready, I am here to be that extra support for you and get you to a place of feeling happier.

I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!
